In line with of one of our core values - empathy in the enhancement of public life - Gonzalez Goodale Architects has begun work on rehabilitations of two important health services facilities for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.

The first project, a large tenant improvement of a 30,000sf downtown service center for the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health, includes interior design, selection of furniture and equipment, and environmental upgrades pursuant with the Department's goals of Hope, Wellness, and Recovery.

The second project involves the renovation and adaptive re-use of the Intern and Residence Building at Martin Luther King Community Hospital in Compton.  Needed as space for a new Recuperative Care Center for indigent and homeless clients, the first two floors of the currently under-used dormitory building will undergo a multi-phased renovation and refreshing of living and office spaces.
