GONZALEZ GOODALE ARCHITECTS - STUDIO 2010
CLIENT: Gonzalez Goodale Architects
TYPOLOGY: Office renovation
The renovation fulfilled three initiatives: professional socialization, workplace enjoyment, and advanced sustainability.
Enhanced studio connectivity is achieved by the elimination of offices and work partitions, allowing new charrette pods and spiral stairs to mezzanine research library.
New skylights celebrate the double height space and eliminate daytime electric lights.
A 'super-economizer cycle' with over-sized ventilation ducts allows air-conditioning to employ outdoor air at much higher temperatures than the industry standard.
